Educational Kits

Courses

  • KiboCUBE Academy Webinars Link – UNOOSA/JAXA lecture series covering CubeSat engineering from mission design through subsystems to operations, with published slide decks and recorded video. Free and open access – one of the best structured free CubeSat courses available
  • A Guide to CubeSat Mission and Bus Design Link – University of Hawaiʻi open textbook used as a full course, covering mission design, power budgeting, ADCS and communications with worked examples
  • New Space Economy (EPFL, edX) Link – Introduction to the commercial space sector, useful context for anyone building a business case around a small satellite

Events

  • Small Satellite Conference Link – Organized by Utah State University and held each August in Salt Lake City, running since 1987 and widely regarded as the premier small satellite conference. Its proceedings archive is freely accessible and is the single richest source of CubeSat engineering literature
  • Open Source CubeSat Workshop (OSCW) Link – Annual workshop organized by the Libre Space Foundation, focused specifically on open-source approaches to CubeSat development. Talks are recorded and published
  • Cal Poly CubeSat Developers Workshop Link – Long-running workshop run by the originators of the CubeSat standard; the archive of past presentations is a valuable resource in its own right
  • ESA Academy training session portfolio Link – Hands-on training courses for university students from ESA member states, including a recurring CubeSat Hands-On Training Week covering spacecraft systems, testing and operations
